Just over a year ago, something called 'PizzaFlix' uploaded onto YouTube a "restored" version of Laughton's "Captain Kidd" in a first-class print. My theory is that the film was produced at 90 minutes, but was later cutĭown for inclusion in double features. It's easy to believe that he reprised the role with Abbot &Ĭostello, since his performance here is essentially a comic one.
